Adjunct faculty are automatically enrolled in this mandatory program. The plan is a tax deferred plan that conforms to the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code Section 3121(b)(7)(F) and is funded with 401(a) contracts from the nationally recognized firm BENCOR. For questions, contact the Payroll Department at (386) 506-3999 or Payroll@DaytonaState.edu.
Current adjuncts have free use of the centers (Aquatic & Fitness). Adjunct Faculty not currently teaching may purchase a membership for a fee. For more information, call (386) 506-4386 or email Fitness@DaytonaState.edu.
Current adjunct faculty who have taught the two most current major semesters (fall/spring) are eligible for tuition reimbursement for courses taken at Daytona State College up to six (6) credit hours per semester. Courses eligible for reimbursement are limited to preparatory courses and those that apply towards a degree or vocational certificate. Tuition reimbursement is only available for courses leading to the first certificate/degree earned at the specific level. Employees taking courses after obtaining a degree (at Daytona State College or any regionally accredited institution) may only be eligible for limited reimbursement through Professional Development . This benefit does not extend to the adjunct faculty’s spouse or dependent(s).
Fees for all college courses taken at Daytona State College, except those that are self-supporting, may be covered. Adjunct faculty are not permitted to take classes during normal working schedules, unless approved by the respective Vice President in writing. If the employee separates from the College during the semester the benefit is received, reimbursement of the expense by the College will not be required.
Please contact the Human Resources at (386) 506-4505 or HR@DaytonaState.edu for more information or instructions.
