Enhancements to Student Login Security

Daytona State student accounts are now receiving Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) protection. The addition of this Microsoft Office 365 feature provides better security from malicious emails and other attempts to compromise College accounts. With Microsoft MFA, you will be able to further secure your College login using the following methods:

  • Microsoft Authenticator smartphone app
  • Text message
  • Phone call

If you have previously registered a verification method, you will automatically be prompted for your secondary verification after login, for example a text message or smartphone app notification. Students that have not previously registered a verification method will be prompted to enroll in the MFA solution when accessing Microsoft Office 365, Falcon Online, or the My.DaytonaState.Edu portal. Please follow the provided instructions when prompted to successfully complete the enrollment. For further assistance, review the Student MFA FAQ (https://studentmfa.daytonastate.edu)
