The Attic 

The Attic is the Writing Center's multi-purpose space. The Attic's design and incorporation in the Writing Center makes it a valuable part of the creative process. Let it be a part of yours! 

This space is designed to be multi-functional and reconfigurable, and we encourage whoever is using the space to make it their own. We have furnished the space with sectional couches as well as work tables. The variety of seating allows students to work comfortably in any scenario, from group work to individual study time.

The furniture can also be arranged to work as a classroom, providing faculty with a creative space and a more intimate learning setting. Students, faculty, and staff can reserve the Attic for workshops, presentations, or meetings by contacting CWC@daytonastate.edu.

Open now! The Digital Makerspace located in the Writing Center's Attic, Bldg. 115, Rm. 319 is now open and taking appointments! You can explore virtual worlds by using an Oculus Quest VR headset, record your own podcast, or watch a 3D printer in action. The Writing Center is proud to announce its new podcasting equipment and service now being offered to DSC students and staff. Do you want to introduce multi-modal elements to your course shells?
