Assignments is a tool that allows you to submit assignments, papers, or other types of course materials to your instructor by "uploading" them to an online "folder".  It is also a place for your instructor to leave you feed back on this material.  Each assignment, paper, etc. will have it's own Assignment Folder so it is important to make sure you are submitting your work to the correct one.  It is also important to pay attention to any directions your instructor may include, such as the required format for a document, minimum word count, and deadlines for submitting work.  Once a deadline passes, an Assignment Folder may be "locked" and you will not be able to submit work.
