Using PaperCut in the Academic Support Center
The DSC Academic Support Center computer labs all use a system called PaperCut, to use DSC printers on campus. Printing and copying of black and white pages costs 10¢. Color pages are 20¢. Scanning is free of charge.
Sending a file to print from your computer:
- Click on FILE, then PRINT.
- Click on the square that says PRINT.
- Wait for the Login screen to appear (this may take a few moments).
- On the Printers dropdown menu, select Ricoh-Follow-Me-Print on Papercut.
- After checking that all the information is correct, click PRINT (The first time you print, a message will popup that says, “Printer Paused.”).
- You can now grab your document(s). (Documents can be received from any MFD printer on any DSC campus by using your network credentials or your Printer pin.)
Setting your Ricoh MFD Printer Pin (One time only):
- On a Ricoh MFD Printer click on Username and Password.
- Enter your DSC Email and Password
- Username format: firstname_lastname@daytonastate.edu
- Password: Standard DSC password
- Return to the Log-in menu.
- Click on ID Number.
- Type your College ID number but leave the pin area blank and press OK.
- You will now be prompted to create a 4-digit Pin. Make sure the pin is something that you will remember.
Printing from a Ricoh MFD Printer:
- Make sure that you have a 4-digit Pin. If you don't have a 4-digit Pin follow the instructions in Setting your Ricoh MFD Printer Pin (One time only) above.
- Select ID Number.
- Enter your ID Number and 4-digit Pin.
- Select the jobs you want to print and press Ok.
Adding money to your PaperCut account online:
- In order to print at Daytona State College, students must first activate their PaperCut account and add some money. Click on the PaperCut icon located on the desktop of any DSC computer.
- Type in your Username (Student I.D.).
- Type in your Password (your Falcon Online password). Your account summary will appear.
- Click on Add Credit (have your credit card information ready).
- From the drop-down list in the Amount to Add field, select the amount you will add to your account and click the Add Value button.
- You will be taken to the OnlineStore, where you will confirm the amount and click Continue.
- Fill in your credit card information and click BUY to complete the transaction.
- Confirm the appropriate amount was added to your balance.
Adding cash to your PaperCut account:
- Go to the Student Accounts office with your cash, there a desk clerk will add money to your account. On the Daytona campus, the Student Accounts office is located in building 100, room 102.
- A minimum of $2 is required to start your account.
- Printing and copying costs 10¢. Scanning is free of charge.
