Library Services  glasses and book

The Daytona State College Library supports the educational needs of all members of the Daytona State College Community — students, faculty, staff, alumnae/i, and guests. There are two libraries at Daytona State College, the main library on the Daytona campus and the west campus library on the Deland campus. These libraries offer a comfortable and productive environment for learning, including an array of group study rooms, computer commons, academic support centers, and quiet study areas. The Library's collections of print and electronic books, journals, and other media, have been developed to enhance the curriculum, and library staff are available to assist users with accessing and using these resources.

The library offers many services to students, staff, faculty, and community members.  Students may reserve study room spaces on our Daytona campus in the computer commons area.  Students may load money onto their Student IDs to pay for printing.  Any patron may utilize our assignment scheduler to calculate a personalized timeline for beginning and finishing a research paper.  DSC members have access to various equipment throughout the library and learning commons areas.

The DSC Library is part of a the Academic Support Services, partnering with the Academic Support Center and DSC/UCF Writing Center.  This collaboration is meant to foster student academic success.

Daytona State librarians offer a full range of library skills instruction from developmental classes to upper division Bachelor's program courses in information and digital literacy.

Workshops can be tailored to specific projects or themes. We also provide web research training to staff and can prepare presentations to meet specific departmental needs.  Most workshops take approximately 50 minutes and for large classes we will be happy to come to your classroom.

Please book workshops at least one week in advance by calling the research assistance desk at 386.506.3518 or e-mailing Christina.Hastie@daytonastate.edu. For Deland/Deltona workshops, please call 386.785.2017.
