Instructors aren’t trying to torture you when they assign group projects. They are trying to help you prepare for the world of work and to improve your personal relationships by assisting you to identify personal weaknesses and strategies to improve upon them. Talk with any employer and they will tell you that having the correct training and degree is a basic requirement. What makes a candidate stand out is having soft skills. Those are the ‘people skills’ that aid in effective communication and relationship-building. Those skills also contribute to efficiency and productivity.
