Local Information

Since 1946, the Playhouse has entertained appreciative audiences with wonderful performances in the very best community theatre tradition. The Playhouse is also a source of numerous and varied volunteer opportunities in theatre production and management.

Cinematique of Daytona is the local independent and foreign film theater. For 22 years we’ve been bringing the best and hardest-to-find independent and foreign films to the Sunshine State. For the last 11 years, Cinematique has held the Daytona Beach Film Festival, hosting the best and newest filmmakers from around the world as well as giving local filmmakers and student filmmakers a place to show their work.

The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach was originally formed in 1947; they produces eight shows each season with an additional show in the summer. The Little Theatre does live comedies, musicals & dramas performed by local thespians as well as offering acting classes.

Community theatre providing an intimate theatrical experience unlike any other in West Volusia County. Performances are held in an intimate 150 seat theater that has performances for a full season of plays, musicals and youth programs. The theatre is a remodeled historic school house.
