Research Tips

The two most common types of searches are keyword and subject searches.

Keyword searches look for a word or words anywhere in a record, similar to a Google search. You can refine your search by using Boolean Operators like AND, OR, AND NOT.

Subject searches use a controlled vocabulary which is built into the database or catalog. Your results will usually be more relevant but you need to take the time to come up with your subject search terms.

DSC Database Search

DSC Library has over 100 databases that you may access to find full text articles. Below are just a few databases that will help jumpstart your search.
