The Federal TRIO Programs (TRIO) are Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Daytona State College offers two TRIO programs (Talent Search and Student Support Services), which are targeted to serve and assist low-income individuals, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities to progress through the academic pipeline from middle school to post-secondary education.
TRiO Student Support Services can help you maximize your academic potential, as well as reach your career and personal goals. We successfully serve 200 Daytona State College students annually, and those who participate in our programs are twice as likely to graduate with a bachelor’s degree than students from similar backgrounds who do not participate.
TRiO Talent Search is offered in partnership with Daytona State College and Volusia County Schools. It provides academic, career and financial counseling to eligible middle and high school students and encourages them to pursue their postsecondary education.
