Hello Falcons! I am very happy to be back at Daytona State College as the new Online Retention Coordinator. In this role, I support both Academic Advising and the Division of Online Studies by tracking trends of student success and retention related to online classes and services, and advise students on how to succeed using their online resources effectively. Daytona State has embraced a proactive, student-first philosophy, and I am proud to be a part of our innovative approach to academic excellence.
My history with the college includes taking dual enrollment classes as a high school student, a study abroad trip to Italy during my undergraduate experience, and a fun three years serving as a Student Services Advisor in the Office of Admissions. More recently, I advised incoming transfer and graduate students at a university in Colorado, and my years working in higher education now total up to a decade!
Whether you realize it or not, Daytona State College represents an opportunity to enrich lives, create economic stability, alleviate poverty, conserve the natural environment, and lead individuals and families to unique paths of personal and professional fulfillment. Community and state colleges should be THE primary agent for positive change, and we are part of something special here at Daytona State.
Thank you to everyone for welcoming me back and supporting me in this new opportunity. Please keep me posted on success stories, struggles, and everything in between.
