Your school-issued FalconMail email account

All enrolled DSC students are provided with a school-issued email known as FalconMail. This email account (which uses Microsoft Outlook) is used for all College communications. Through your FalconMail email account, you have no-cost access to Microsoft 365 which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more. It also provides you with access to OneDrive, which is cloud storage. FalconMail FAQs

1. Why does the College offer and require use of a school issued email account? Official College communications or communications of protected student record information (grades, registration information, financial aid, etc.) will not be sent to personal email accounts (i.e., AOL, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo). It will only be sent via FalconMail. Your record privacy is protected through FERPA. 
2. Why check it? Instructors use it as a method to communicate course changes, concerns about your progress, respond to your questions or requests or inform you about the opportunity to submit a revision or turn in a missed assignment. Emails may relate to your financial aid, registration, or even scholarship applications. Don’t miss an opportunity because you failed to read your email.
3. Why check it often? Certain email communications may be time sensitive. We strongly recommend checking your email daily, or at least three times a week. 
4. How can I make it easy to access and check? Monitoring multiple email accounts can be cumbersome and overwhelming. For quick and easy access to FalconMail, right from your phone, just install the Outlook App. This will help you stay current with incoming emails and it makes responding convenient as well.
