The Division of Online Studies is very excited to announce a new Online Faculty training series specifically for faculty who currently teach fully online classes at Daytona State College. This training is the result of a concerted effort to address success gaps in online versus face-to-face classes, support the development of knowledgeable and innovative faculty, and ensure a high quality online educational experience for students.

FAQs
Q: I've already taken D2L 101, D2L 102, and Substantive Interaction. Will I need to retake these classes again to receive the full stipend?
A: No, faculty who have taken any part of the 45 hours will not need to retake those courses. The Director for the Division of Online Studies and academic chairs will coordinate all training for online faculty.
Q: Can I teach online before completing the Online Faculty training?
A: Faculty may begin teaching online classes before completing the full Online Faculty training; however, the training must be completed by June 30, 2019, in order to be eligible to teach Fall 2019. Our goal is to continue to promote Daytona State College as a nationally recognized model for innovative online instruction by creating an Online Faculty training that both empowers and inspires instructors and ensures a high-quality educational experience for students.
