Setting up an account is easy. Once you do, you will be able to read articles, watch videos, look for current jobs available and even submit your resume for employers to see.
Career Services is a one-stop shop for everything career and employment related. You can find information and help about everything from selecting a major to preparing for a job interview. You can meet with someone in person, visit a job fair or access hundreds of articles, videos and other resources to help you make more informed decisions and prepare yourself.
The first step to accessing the online resources and setting up a your employment profile is to set up your Career Services Student Portal. This is similar to creating a Career Builder or Monster account, but even better. It gives you access to a great deal of research and resources about anything career related. You can get to job and labor sites to get the most current information on salaries, demand and related to professions in addition to seeing current postings for local positions. Setting up an account is easy. The video and instructions below walk you through the process.

First, you need to go to http://www.daytonastate.edu/career_services/ and choose STUDENT PORTAL
Then, just follow the directions as outlined in the video below.
SPECIAL NOTE: Students should register for the Daytona State College Student Portal using their Falcon Mail (@daytonastate.edu) email address. This will ensure the account is activated more quickly. Please allow for 24-48 hours for account activation - especially if the account is created Friday after 12:00 PM (noon). Your portal dashboard will appear “empty” until it is reviewed and activated by Career Services. If you do not received notification that your account has been activated follow up by emailing Career Services at email@example.com
