This blog is dedicated to the professional, efficient, and friendly media staff from the Department of Instructional Resources. The peer reviewer committee utilized their services this past Fall 2017 semester to develop the substantive interaction video series. In order to achieve this goal, peer reviewers enrolled and completed the fully online Faculty Toolset 101 training developed by Hector Valle, Director for Instructional Resources, which provided standardized guidelines for scripting and screencasting video content.
The goal of the Department of Instructional Resources is to create engaging media content for the online classroom environment. From concept to completion, they help faculty create content such as welcome videos, key concept lectures, lecture course videos, and training videos. If you are interested in taking either the Faculty Toolset 101 or 102 trainings (developed by April Brunning), please click here to register.
Want to learn even more about the media team? Well, you're in luck! Below are some fun facts:
April Brunning, Production Manager II - A fossil hunter in her spare time, she even has a show called Fossil Hunters.
Kevin Lorden, Producer/Coordinator II is the proud owner of a signed picture of him and Vanna White wearing fuzzy slippers taken while working with her on the Home Shopping Network.
Erin Petro, Technical Specialist - April’s husband, Don, was her high school video production teacher.
On behalf of the Division of Online Studies and the peer reviewer committee, I want to formally profess my love to Instructional Resources. April, Kevin, and Erin, you all are lifesavers. Thank you for your professionalism, keen eyes, and easy going nature!
